Lakeland Electric is working hard to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Our key updates are listed below. Updates will be sent at 9 a.m., 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.
LE Key Messages:
-At 4:00 p.m., we are reporting 23,000 customers without power.
We are seeing damage of poles snapped in half, fallen trees on power lines, and power poles and power lines on the ground.
-We estimate power will be restored to all customers in 3-4 days.
-We have a total of 200 mutual aid personnel here from Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Louisiana to assist with our power restoration effort.
-The Call Center is open and responding to storm-related calls only.
Customers are encouraged to report downed poles, downed wires and tree limbs on wires to 863-834-9535.

LE Status:
-We are in Phase 5 – Restoration of our emergency plan.
-The Call Center is open and is only answering storm-related calls today. Any calls related to billing and associated topics (existing payment plans, cut-offs related to lack of payments, etc.) will be deferred until our normal Call Center operations re-commence.
-The LE Lobby will be closed today and until further notice.
