The part-time Assistant City Attorney performs a variety of duties including reviewing and drafting contracts for the procurement of goods or services, including construction, and developing contract templates. Time permitting the position will also handle civil legal work for the City; provide legal advice to City departments, commissions, and boards; and occasionally attend public meetings. The position is part-time and consists of 20 hours per week. Daily hours are flexible and remote work is possible if approved by the City Attorney, however the part-time attorney must be able to occasionally attend council or commission meetings held on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons or evenings.
