Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) Helps Residents Pay Their Bills
The new Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) provides financial assistance to low-income Arkansas residents to help pay their residential water utility bills. The federal LIHWAP funds are administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (U.S. DHHS). The Arkansas Energy Office (AEO) has been designated the administering agency for LIHWAP in Arkansas.

Low-income households can apply to receive a one-time payment (up to $2,000) sent directly to the water company for a past-due water or wastewater bill.
