Safe Routes to School Community Workshop

The City will be hosting a community workshop on Thursday, November 17th to present the draft recommendations for nine identified sites for the City's Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program, starting at 6:00 PM, in the Solana Beach Council Chambers. During the workshop, the community will be able to review the nine sites that have been studied and submit feedback on the proposed recommendations. Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

To celebrate the start of the holiday season, the City's Parks and Recreation Commission invites you to join your friends and neighbors at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting event on Sunday, December 4th, at 4:30 PM. Once the tree's lights switch is flipped, all eyes turn to watch for Santa's arrival by fire-truck escort! Children will have the chance to ask Santa for that most important gift and to remind him just how good they've been all year! There will be live music and cookies, cider, and treats.

Santa's Sleigh Ride Parade

Back by popular demand, the City of Solana Beach and the Solana Beach Parks and Recreation Commission are excited to invite you to join us to watch Santa's Sleigh Ride Parade! Santa will be riding along with Fire, Sheriff and Marine Safety personnel. The Sleigh Ride will be starting and ending at the Solana Beach Fire Station, located at 500 Lomas Santa Fe Drive. The City of Solana Beach is dedicated to incorporating art into public spaces and is especially interested in incorporating the work of local artists in such spaces whenever possible. To ensure that the cultural experience of the City continues to enrich and engage the community, the City and its Public Arts Commission are seeking applications from public artists for the following Public Arts Programs:
