The College Connect Tempe team is ready to assist you with all of your college and career planning questions through one-on-one advising, interactive workshops and free resources.

Wednesdays, twice per month, 2 to 5 p.m.

College Connect offices at Tempe Public Library (3500 S. Rural Road)

-Assistance with filling out applications to colleges and universities

-One-on-one support with filling out the FAFSA and with applying to scholarships

-Help with personal statements

-Information on school requirements, eligibility, tuition and financial aid options

Career Ready Tempe applications open

The Career Ready Tempe internship application is now open! The application link provides additional information and eligibility requirements. Please email [email protected] for resume and application assistance.

Benefits of the Internship program include:

Students are paid $14/hour and work approximately 20 hours per week over a period of six weeks (120 hours from June 5- July 14).

Each student is matched with a local business in Tempe.

Students gain professional development skills by completing soft skills training modules and working in a professional setting with an assigned mentor.

Opportunity for career development and exploration, networking and workplace skill building.

Tempe Public Library - Teen Center

The Tempe Public Library - Teen Center is hosting weekly conversations about helpful life tips for after high school. 
Feb. 27: First aid
March 6: Teen's choice
March 13: Kitchen skills
March 20: Application bonanza
March 27: Interview skills
Mondays from 5 to 7 p.m.

The library has launched a new Silent Book Club, held on Mondays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Join your teen librarian Amanda for reading or listening to the book of your choice! The last 30 minutes will be spent engaging in discussion about what we are reading.

Be heard. The Teen Center is hosting Evelyn Brumfield and staff from the City of Tempe Sustainability and Resilience Office to engage with teens and share how the heat has affected their lives. Join us for this podcast-style interview experienceMonday, March 6 from 3:45 to 5 p.m.
