No matter where you’re starting from, College Connect Tempe can help you get to where you want to go.

Our advisors are available to walk hand-in-hand to explore post-secondary education and career opportunities. Free in-person and virtual resources include interactive workshops, one-on-one advising and college and career connections. 

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is expected to open by Sunday, Dec. 31. Filling out the FAFSA form is an important step in learning what resources are available to help you pay for college. Submitting a FAFSA gives you access to federal financial aid such as grants, work-study, loans and scholarship opportunities. Our advisors are ready support you in this process.

Career Ready Tempe is currently accepting applications for high school student interns this summer.
 
Program Overview

  • Current sophomores and juniors are matched to a host site in Tempe
  • Internships occur over 6 weeks in the summer and are approximately 20 hours per week
  • Students gain valuable skills and professional development opportunities
  • Students are paid $14.35/hour
  • Applications are open now until April 1st

 
Eligibility Requirements:

  • Tempe resident OR Tempe student OR attend a TUHSD school
  • Junior or senior (Fall 2024 semester)
  • 2.0+ GPA (unweighted)
  • 16 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Parent/Guardian Permission

Tempe Public Library - Teen Center

Each year the Tempe Public Library brings together fans from all over the Valley for a celebration of all things cosplay, comics and pop culture for a fun and memorable experience. Fans can enjoy this free event jam-packed with local artists & authors, costume contests, games & activities, an escape room, photos ops with cosplayers, prizes, nearly 100 vendors and delicious food from local food trucks.

Fans of Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Anime, and more are invited to gather in costume for a celebration of pop culture. See you at the library on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Calling all teens! Are you intimidated about making a budget or navigating the MVD to get a license or ID? Do you know that it’s good to check your tire treads? Have you wondered about sending a thank you card after a job interview; do you really have to? How?! Join teen library staff every Monday night from 5 to 6 p.m. to learn more about these skills and how to prepare for your future.

THREADZ teen clothes closets, operated by Tempe Community Council, carries new and/or gently-used clothing and shoes, personal hygiene items and school supplies. The closets are open to Tempe middle and high school teens from all three Tempe school districts. Visit THREADZ at Tempe, Marcos de Niza and Mountain Pointe high schools. Photo ID is required.

Barrett Honors College
Barrett, The Honors College, is a living and learning community at Arizona State University where honors students experience exclusive undergraduate research, global engagement, study abroad, professional opportunities and much more. To learn about the advantages of an honors education, we invite you to attend an information session and tour the Barrett campus of your major. Both in-person or virtual sessions are offered.

Performances for Students
Performances for Students field trips at Gammage provide K-12 students with an opportunity to see artists from around the world. Tickets are $3 per person for in-person and it is FREE to join the online livestream. Bring your students to see DENDE, a Brazilian percussionist, singer, composer, band leader, teacher and multi-instrumentalist at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 29, 2024.
