The College Connect Tempe team is ready to help you with all of your college and career planning questions through one-on-one advising, interactive workshops and free resources.

Virtual Scholarship Workshop

Wednesday, Dec. 7, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

During this virtual workshop, high school seniors and parents/guardians will learn about scholarships and scholarship application tips:
Tempe Union High School District and Tempe resident scholarships
In-state University and Community College Scholarships
College Connect Scholarships

Weekly In-Person Labs

College Application Lab

Mondays between 2 and 5 p.m.
Tempe Public Library
Meet with College Connect advisors to get help with completing college applications, reviewing the senior timeline and answering questions regarding college admission.

Financial Aid Lab

Wednesdays between 2 and 5 p.m.
Tempe Public Library
Get help with questions on filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), applying for scholarships and learning about other forms of financial aid to pay for college.

The College Connect Tempe team is ready to help you with all of your college and career planning questions. Meet with an experienced College Connect Tempe advisor in-person or virtually and receive free one-on-one assistance with exploring options after high school, college exploration, applications, financial aid, scholarship searches, developing your resume and more.
*Students who attend a 1:1 advising appointment or a workshop are entered for a $1,000 College Connect Scholarship sponsored by the Ramsey Social Justice Foundation.

Tempe Union High School District is hosting “What to know Before You Go” events for 8th grade students and parents. Event dates are Nov. 29, Nov. 30, Dec. 1, and Dec. 5. What you'll learn:

Be sure to get your ASU application completed and FAFSA on file by Jan. 15, ASU’s priority deadline for the FAFSA. This allows you to be considered for the most amount of aid.

Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University is a residential college community of academically outstanding undergraduates at an expansive and innovative university.
The application deadline for Regular Decision is Jan. 15, 2023.
Barrett scholarship application deadline is Feb. 1, 2023 (Must apply to Barrett by the Jan. 15 deadline.).
Barrett does not require a minimum GPA to apply and remains test-blind for the 2023 cycle (No ACT or SAT required).

2022 Arizona ACT Conference
Friday, Dec. 9, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The 2022 Arizona ACT Conference will be held on December 9, 2022, at the Arizona State University Memorial Union. This conference will provide attendees with the opportunity to gain new perspectives, expand their knowledge, and find solutions to problems facing the education and workforce landscape.

Secondary ELA Quarterly Office Hours

Tuesday, Dec. 13, 4 to 5 p.m.
Secondary ELA Specialist, Lauren Spenceley, presents Secondary ELA Quarterly Office Hours, an opportunity to collaborate, share, and learn about secondary reading and literacy information from the AZ Department of Education.  

We will be joined by Andrea Glenn, Director of Post-Secondary & Community Engagement, and Julie Sainz from the Arizona Board of Regents, who will share resources and information for the FAFSA, college applications, the ACT, and more! Participants must register for this quarterly event in EMS to receive 1 hour of professional development credit. A zoom link will be emailed the day of the meeting. Registration closes Dec. 13 at noon.

Arizona@Work Maricopa County Youth Services connects eligible youth ages 14-24 to a variety of job training and career services. There are free employment academies and resources for job searching, resume-writing, interviewing and more.
