From: City of Tempe

Hi friends,

We all know that Tempe is a hotbed of innovation. After all, our city is home to Arizona State University, the nation’s number one-ranked university for innovation! This inclination towards forward thinking extends to aspects of our municipal operations as well.

Earlier this month, we announced another initiative for residents to go paperless on their billing. Paperless billing has been shown to have numerous benefits. The first is enhanced security, as physical paper can be a significant liability for you with the potential of paper bills being accidentally misdelivered or stolen. Second, a paperless bill can be accessed anytime from anywhere. No more searching for the water bill in the recycling bin! Last, but certainly not least, is that paperless billing is eco-friendly. When a resident goes paperless, he or she plays a role in making Tempe a more sustainable city.

The City of Tempe is launching a sweepstakes to increase enrollment in these paperless billing services. Two residents will be drawn to win a $500 Visa Gift Card on April 30. To be entered to win, Tempe utility customers can do one of three things before April 30:

-Sign up for autopay through Tempe’s utility payment portal;

-Make three consecutive online payments for the billing cycles of February, March and April using Tempe's utility payment portal; or

-Enroll in paperless billing through Tempe's utility payment portal

Simply put, please take a moment to consider going paperless!
