CALL TO ARTISTS! Check out these upcoming arts & culture opportunities

The arts are flourishing in Tempe. From live music to public art walks to profound gallery experiences, arts and culture help shape the character of the city. That’s why Tempe remains so committed to offering arts and culture opportunities to local artists.
 
We're seeking artists to bring city projects to life over the next several months. Opportunities include Arts in the Parks installations to dance artists to multi-year residencies. Learn more below and at tempe.gov/ArtsJobs

Fence Art (Arts in the Parks)
We're searching for visual artists with experience in visual arts, fibers, pliable materials and/or mixed media to create temporary art installations on fences located in Tempe Parks for at least nine months. The selected artists will create a design that is inspired by the park and input from the surrounding park neighborhoods. Visual artists with an interest in responding to community in the ideation and implementation of creating and sharing art are encouraged to apply.

Closing Date: Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
Compensation: Up to $10,000 per park.

High School Dance Residency & Tempe Center for the Arts Performance
We're seeking local dance artists for residencies in Tempe schools. In the Fall, resident dance artists will teach a day of workshops to all class levels and set one piece on the advanced class. The piece will premiere as part of a showcase at Tempe Center for the Arts on Jan. 17, 2023, where the resident dance artists are also invited to present their own professional work. Selected resident dance artists will help organize and lead the dress rehearsal process on the day of the show. Dance artists with experience in teaching, choreographing, mentorship, and/or youth engagement are encouraged to apply.

Closing Date:  Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
Compensation:  $1,500 (with additional funding if presenting professional work at Tempe Center for the Arts - $500 for choreographer and $250 per performer)

Studio Artists Residency
The Studio Artists Residency is looking for visual artists interested in working with Tempe elementary school students in their classrooms over a two-year period with option to renew. Through a designed workshop highlighting their expertise and style, artists will inspire students through a hands-on visual arts experience. Artists will be provided a studio space for their personal art making practice.

Closing Date: Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 11:59pm
Compensation: Up to $5,000 per school year and 24/7 access to studio space
