Government and Politics

May 17, 2022

From: City Of Tucson

City of Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, Ward 4 Council Member Nikki Lee, and Tucson Parks and Recreation invite you to celebrate the completion of a new splash pad at Purple Heart Park. This project, located next to the existing pool, marks the City’s sixth splash pad. It was made possible through Tucson Delivers, 2018 voter-approved Proposition 407 bond funds and Impact Fees. Improvements include a new splash pad area, perimeter fencing, five shade umbrella structures, seating, a new accessible entrance, and landscaping and irrigation improvements.

Come celebrate with us! There will be free pizza, eegee's, an inflatable obstacle course, bounce house, games, music, and a backpack giveaway filled with school supplies, courtesy of Ward 4 Council Member Lee. The pool will also be open from 1-4 p.m.

Date: Friday, May 27, at 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Location: Purple Heart Park, 9800 E. Rita Road.

WestLand Resources was the design team and KAPPCON Construction was the contractor for this project. All City splash pads will be open daily from 8 a.m.-sunset, through Oct. 31. For a list of all City of Tucson splash pads, visit Tucsonaz.gov/parks
