Serial Grillers Parking Lot - 7585 S Houghton Rd

Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, RTA Communications Director Sheila Storm, DTM Director Samuel Credio P.E., and Gene Ramirez from Borderland Construction, will speak and help commemorate the completion of this project.

This project included improvements that increased roadway capacity and enhanced safety along the corridor. This project also included drainage improvements, bus pullouts, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, street lighting, public art and native landscape with water harvesting. New traffic signals and left-turn lanes and dedicated right-turn lanes were constructed at the intersection of Rita Road and Houghton Road.

The Regional Transportation Authority, a political subdivision of the state and independently governed, has invested more than $1.2 billion in transportation projects and services to improve mobility, safety, economic vitality and quality of life in the region. The RTA collects a half-cent excise (sales) tax from its special taxing district within Pima County to fund its 20-year regional transportation plan. The plan and tax were approved by voters in May 2006. The Houghton Road project is part of the RTA plan and is managed by the City of Tucson. For more information, visit www.RTAmobility.com
