ELECTION DAY IN THE CITY OF TUCSON - Tucson voters tomorrow, May 17, will decide the fate of Proposition 411, an extension of the existing half-cent sales tax for neighborhood street and safety improvements. If you still have your vote-by-mail ballot for the election, it's too late to mail it back to the City Clerk's Office. However, you can drop it off now at four locations, through tomorrow. The drop-off sites are at the Tucson City Clerk Election Center, 800 E. 12th St.; the Pima County Recorder's Downtown Office, 240 N. Stone Ave.; the Pima County Recorder's Eastside Office, 6920 E. Broadway Blvd.; and the Pima County Recorder's Election Department, 6550 S. Country Club Road. All locations are open until 5 p.m. today, and they will be open tomorrow from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. You can also use those locations tomorrow (and several others) to cast the ballot in person and drop it in the ballot box or vote a replacement ballot.
