11TH ANNUAL KIDZ EXPO & BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT THIS WEEKEND - The Arizona Bilingual Newspaper is hosting its 11th Annual Kidz Expo & Back to School event this Saturday, July 23, at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave., from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The free event will include a series of family-friendly activities and entertainment. Activities include raffles from sponsors, live music, learning activities, information and community resources for children and families, and more. Arizona Bilingual will give away up to 2,000 backpacks. The Mexican Consulate will provide 3,000 free textbooks in Spanish. Many sponsors and nonprofit organizations make this event possible.

FREE SUMMER POOL PARTIES CONTINUE AT CITY POOLS - This month, Tucson Parks and Recreation is hosting "Summer Poolooza," free pool parties across the city in celebration of National Parks and Recreation Month. Events include Ready, Set, Rec! vans with games and activities, food, music, inflatables, pool fun, and more. Come and enjoy some fun in the sun. Pool parties are held every Wednesday in July, from 5-7 p.m.. The next pool party is tonight, July 20, at Udall Pool, 7200 E. Tanque Verde Road.
