VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE NEXT TUESDAY - The deadline to register to vote in Arizona's primary election is Tuesday, July 5. The election will be held Aug. 2. Voters no longer have to cast ballots at their designated precincts and can vote in person at any of the new Vote Centers throughout Pima County. With "e-pollbooks," a voter will go to any Vote Center, present their identification, and the system will print a ballot specific to the precinct in which the voter lives. REID PARK ZOO’S SUMMER SAFARI NIGHTS PROGRAM CONTINUES THIS WEEKEND - Enjoy Reid Park Zoo and cooler evening temperatures as you watch the sunset at this series of themed nights, featuring different keeper chats, animal encounters, artifact stations, and special activities. Refresh with dinner at the Zoofari Market, listen to live music by some of Tucson’s best bands, take a ride on the Cox Jungle Carousel, and play games with Tucson Parks and Recreation’s Ready, Set, Rec! program. There's a different theme each week. This Saturday, July 2, the theme is "Spots and Stripes." Learn about the beautiful patterns that adorn many animals at the Zoo. The zebras are covered in stripes, the giraffes and jaguars each have unique spot patterns, and the African wild dogs are sometimes known as “painted dogs” due to their artful coats. Wear your favorite animal print and strut into the Zoo in style for this celebration of the beauty found in nature. Classic rock, classic country, R&B, and Elvis tunes will be performed live by the Cornerstone Band.
