Public Hearing Tomorrow For Redistricting Advisory Committee - The Redistricting Advisory Committee continues to review and consider options to adjust ward boundaries and equalize ward populations. At its second public hearing, held Nov. 17, the Committee voted to create a new map for consideration, called Proposal 2-c, and remove Proposal 2-b from consideration. The Committee is now considering Proposals 2-a and 2-c. The Committee’s final public hearing is scheduled for tomorrow, Nov. 29, at 5:30 p.m. in the Mayor and Council Chambers at City Hall, 255 W. Alameda St. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the City’s YouTube channel. Information on the Redistricting Advisory Committee and the proposed maps are available by following the link below. Two years after the decennial census is complete, the boundaries of the six wards of the City are reviewed to determine whether adjustments are necessary to equalize the population in each ward. Mayor and Council established a citizens committee to assist with this effort.

See The Reid Park Master Plan And Take The Final Survey - View the final Reid Park Master Plan concept, developed with community feedback over the last eight months, and take the online survey to give input on your priorities for funding future improvements at the park. The Master Plan is important to ensure that available resources are allocated efficiently and to the items of the highest priority. As future/ongoing reinvestments in the park are made, different funding sources will be used, as appropriate, for the project. State, federal, and local grants; private and nonprofit partnerships; and bonds are all likely sources of funding for capital improvements. The survey will close Monday, Dec. 19, at 11:59 p.m. Visit the park project website links below for more information.
