Mayor And Council Meetings Today - Tucson's Mayor and City Council will meet in person today, July 12, at 1:30 p.m. for the Study Session, and will convene again at 5:30 p.m. for the Regular Meeting. Request your vote-by-mail ballot for the 2022 Primary Election by Friday, July 22. Early voting has begun and runs through Friday, July 29. Tucson Fire Department Recruitment Application Deadline Draws Near - The application period closes this Thursday, July 14, for Tucson Fire Department's (TFD) January 2023 recruit class. Sun Tran Wants To Hear From You - Sun Tran is hosting a series of open house events where the public can learn about and provide feedback on transit policies and fares. Upcoming in-person meetings will be held at locations throughout the city including tonight, July 12, at the Ward 2 Council Office, 7575 E. Speedway Boulevard and this Thursday, July 14 at the Ward 1 Council Office, 940 W. Alameda Avenue. A virtual meeting is scheduled for July 21. Spanish and English-speaking representatives will be available at all meetings.

Free Summer Pool Parties Continue At City Pools - This month, Tucson Parks and Recreation is hosting "Summer Poolooza," free pool parties across the city in celebration of National Parks and Recreation Month. Events include Ready, Set, Rec! vans with games and activities (see story below), food, music, inflatables, pool fun, and more. Come and enjoy some fun in the sun. Pool parties will be held every Wednesday in July, from 5-7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted). To see a list of dates and locations, follow the link below. The next pool party is tomorrow evening, Wednesday, July 13, at Archer Pool, 1665 S. La Cholla Blvd.
