Tucson Water Rebate Programs - Customers can apply online for residential clothes washer and premium high-efficiency toilet rebates. This means no more paper and quicker processing times. You can apply at the link below. The residential toilet rebate increased in July to $100 per premium high-efficiency toilet for homes and buildings constructed before 2011. These toilets must have a "MaP Premium" rating and flush at a maximum of 1.1 gallons per flush (gpf). The clothes washer rebate now provides customers a $200 rebate only when replacing a top-load machine with a front-load clothes washer from the qualifying product list. Customers replacing a front-load machine or new customers not replacing a machine will be eligible for a $100 rebate. For questions, email [email protected], or call (520) 791-4331.

City Of Tucson Office Of Economic Initiatives To Mark Manufacturing Month - Manufacturing Month, held nationally in October, is an opportunity to show the reality of modern manufacturing careers as companies and educational institutions around the country open their doors to students, parents, teachers, and community members. The City of Tucson Office of Economic Initiatives will host a Manufacturing Day event on Friday, Oct. 21. Designed to inspire the next generation to enter careers in modern manufacturing, Manufacturing Day in Tucson will bring a group of Big Brothers Big Sisters students from Tucson High School to The World View Aerospace Campus, Sonoran Stitch Factory, and Pima Community College Downtown Campus Center of Excellence in Applied Technology and Automotive building. Students will spend time at each of the manufacturing tour locations and see presentations by leaders about manufacturing career programs at Pima Community College. Throughout the day, instructors and experts will provide hands-on demonstrations in the aerospace, industrial sewing, automotive maintenance, welding, machining, and robotics industries.

2018 Parks And Connections Bond Oversight Commission Meeting Today- Nearly four years ago, City of Tucson voters approved Proposition 407: Tucson Delivers Parks and Connections, a $225 million bond package for capital improvements via General Obligation bonds. Approved on Nov. 6, 2018, the bond funds are dedicated to improving City park amenities (playgrounds, sports fields, pools, splash pads, and recreation centers) and connections (pedestrian pathways, bicycle pathways, and pedestrian and bicycle safety). This Tucson Delivers program is monitored by 11 members of the public appointed to the 2018 Parks and Connections Bond Oversight Commission (PCBOC). The commission will hold a hybrid meeting today, Oct. 17, at 5:30 p.m., at the Parks Administration building's Mesquite Room (900 S. Randolph Way) and via Zoom. Find The 'Ready, Set, Rec!' Mobile Recreation Vans Throughout Tucson - Tucson Parks and Recreation's mobile recreation program, "Ready, Set, Rec!," is touring parks throughout the fall.
