Celebrate Independence Day on the Waterfront!
One of South Florida's largest Independence Day celebrations will once again be held along the downtown Waterfront on Monday, July 4 from 6 - 10 p.m. 4th on Flagler activities include live entertainment, a Military Honor salute, refreshments and an 18-minute firework show. Hero Employees Honored with STAR Award after Lifesaving Rescue
Mayor James recently awarded the City’s Staff Appreciation and Recognition Award to six Department of Public Utilities employees for saving a resident attempting to take his own life. The team was originally called to service a water main near Australian Avenue and Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, but soon heard cries for help from a nearby residence.

Mandel Public Library Named One of the Most Beautiful U.S. Libraries
The library was recognized as one of the 11 most beautiful libraries in the country by Fodor’s Travel. The organization noted the library’s prime location in a vibrant community near the Intracoastal Waterway, the structure’s tropical feel, city skyline views, and wide range of programming.
