The end of the last fundraising quarter is quickly approaching, so our team has been working hard to ensure that Jared puts forward the strongest finance report possible. If you want to help us reach our quarterly fundraising goal, you can chip in here:
We want to keep you up-to-date on Jared’s work advocating for Mainers and breaking through partisan gridlock in Congress, so here is just some of what Rep. Golden has been working on this month.
BANNING INSIDER TRADING IN WASHINGTON:
Jared believes that no matter which party is in power, Americans should be able to trust that their elected officials are working for the people, not trying to make a quick buck. That’s why he introduced the bipartisan DIVEST Act, which if enacted would ban the president, vice president, administration officials, and their close family members from trading stocks while in office.
WORKING TO BRING DOWN OIL AND GAS PRICES:
Even though oil and gas prices have declined somewhat, they’re still far too high in Maine and across the country. That’s why Jared led a group of eight House members in calling on the president to continue releasing oil from our reserves to help hold down gas prices.
PUSHING FOR THE RIGHT TO REPAIR:
As chairman of the House Small Business Subcommittee on Underserved, Agricultural, and Rural Development, last week Jared pushed Congress to address restrictions from manufacturers that impair small businesses’ ability to fix their own equipment and machinery.
We know that none of this would have been possible without your support. Thank you for being on our team!
P.S. Kevin McCarthy and the GOP establishment are outspending us on TV. Right now, more Mainers are seeing ads that spread lies about Jared than our own ads that correct the record. It’s crunch time, so if you can, will you chip in $15 or sign up to volunteer to help Jared continue fighting for Mainers in Congress?
