Assistance Available at Special Veteran & National Health Center Events this Month

Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-26) announced the Congress on Your Corner schedule for the months of September and October. Through the program, staff from Congressman Higgins’ office are available at satellite sites throughout the district to better serve the needs of constituents.

Higgins said, “Our office is always available to hear from and help Western New Yorkers, but through Congress on Your Corner we make it convenient to seek assistance by coming to a neighborhood near you.”

Virtual Event for high school students and parents interested in learning more about U.S. Service Academies.  Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Army and Navy R.O.T.C. will provide information about the application process and answer questions.

The Veteran Stand Down features a large gathering of organizations offering services and information to Western New York veterans.  Our office will be available to discuss VA healthcare, benefits, service medals, and more.

During Congress on Your Corner, residents have the opportunity to talk directly with someone from Congressman Higgins’ office about federal matters they may need assistance with.  Issues discussed often include Social Security, veteran benefits or medals, passports, federal student aid or small business assistance.
