Washington, D.C. – Representative Claudia Tenney (R-NY), today released a statement following the Democrats on the Way and Means Committee's decision to release Donald Trump's tax returns.

“Today’s partisan decision by Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee to release the private tax returns of former President Donald J. Trump is unprecedented. It shows just how far they will go to weaponize the bureaucracy against the American people,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “Releasing the tax returns of a private citizen in this manner sets a dangerous new precedent. House Democrats are proving to the American people exactly why we should resist their partisan efforts to enlarge and empower the IRS.
