Midland, MI - Creative 360 extends an invitation to the community to come touch the art during its Art in the Dark exhibit opening reception this Friday. The exhibit, sponsored by the Midland Lions Club, features art created by Marguerite Bronson and Dianna Cole who create works that are both visually appealing and touchable. The lights will be low and available blindfolds will offer a chance to experience art similarly to those who are visually impaired.
Marguerite Bronson is a visually challenged artist who paints large, lush, colorsaturated paintings. She is an emotional painter who expresses energy into art. Seeing, feeling and touching are important aspects of fully experiencing Bronson's work.
Dianna Cole is a conceptual, process-oriented artist who uses one medium, one process, and time to create meditative works of artistic expression. Her meditative process is apparent in the repetitive patterns in Cole's works of steel wool and porcelain.
Opening Reception: Friday, November 14 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The first 100 who attend will receive a piece of original art from Bronson. There will also be an opportunity to enter a drawing to win one of her larger pieces on display.
The art is on display through December 5, 2014.
