How to Find Classes

Spring registration begins November 1. You should receive your registration start date in an email from Admissions and Records this week. You can also check for your registration start date by logging in to myGateway and clicking on "Check Registration Appointment" under Registration Tools.

Please note: Your "registration appointment" is NOT an actual appointment. It is simply the day and time your registration period starts. You may register for classes up until 11:59 p.m. the day before the first day of the semester.

NEW at Cypress! Winter Intersession Courses Offered December 18 - January 19

Cypress College will now be offering select classes during a month-long winter intersession this upcoming December and January. Get through necessary gen eds quickly and accelerate your degree or certificate completion by taking a five-week winter course! Registration for winter also begins November 1

To view winter intersession classes, make sure "Spring 2024" is selected in the Select Term box AND select "Winter Intersession (WI)" in the Part-of-Term selection box.

Great ShakeOut Drill Happening October 19

Cypress College will be participating in this year's Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill on Thursday, October 19, at 10:19 a.m. During this drill, the college will conduct a full evacuation to simulate a campuswide response to an actual earthquake event.

Notifications communicating the start and end of the drill will be sent via text message to your cell phone number on file with the District. Follow the instructions under the Emergency Preparedness Tips below to set or update your text message alert preferences in myGateway.

Emergency Preparedness Tips:

- Program the Campus Safety number into your phone for quick and easy access: (714) 484-7387.
- Update your text message alert preferences in myGateway to receive emergency text notifications:

- Log in to myGateway.
- Click on "Personal Information" in the Student tab.
- Click on "Set Text Message Alert Preferences."
- Enter your cell phone number.

Undocumented Student Action Week

Grads to Be Programs across the district have partnered to present a vibrant list of workshops and offerings in celebration of Undocumented Student Action Week (USAW). Now in its seventh year at the state level, USAW encourages California Community Colleges to engage in advocacy and support efforts in solidarity with undocumented students throughout the state.

Visiting Writer Series: A Heart-Centered Approach to Writing Workshops with Author Leslie Ferguson

The English Department invites you to participate in hands-on workshops and an engaging talk from author Leslie Ferguson in person on campus Tuesday, October 17.

The event includes a moderated Q&A open to the public held in Gateway Plaza followed by a meet and greet and book signing. Three workshops led by the author are also offered throughout the day in CCCPLX-414.

The Cypress College Art Gallery Presents...Ground Control, a 2023 SUR:Biennial exhibition

Ground Control: Resource Extraction and the Demand for Sovereignty is a group exhibition that brings together an international roster of 9 artists whose work is driven by a research-intensive critique of the transmutation of the natural world into capital.

The exhibition was curated by Stephanie Sabo as part of the 2023 SUR:biennial, which includes exhibitions at sixteen different locations throughout Southern California.

Gallery hours are Monday–Thursday at 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and by appointment.
