The revamped aquatics area should open by Memorial Day 2014 and is sure to please the whole family.

In addition, Phase I site improvements planned will be primarily to the west side of Del Mar Park. Phase I will include a perimeter walk around, a new playground, picnic shelters and outdoor restroom, better parking circulation in the west lot, landscaping and volleyball court improvement. Look for construction to begin later this summer or early fall.
Aurora and Arapahoe County voters reinstated the Arapahoe County Open Space Sales & Use Tax in 2011. The Open Space Sales & Use Tax will fund visitor improvements to Del Mar Park. Conservation Trust Fund (CO Lottery) will be used for the pool improvements. The Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department is also seeking grant funding to leverage these public dollars. The overall budget for this project is $4 Million.
All outdoor pools will open Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27 (pools close at 5 p.m.). Moorhead, Parklane and Village Green will remain open for the season. Aqua Vista, Meadow Hills and Pheasant Run will close on Monday, May 27 at 5 p.m. and then re-open for the season on Saturday, June 1. Each pool offers swim lessons as well as public swim hours.
