I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June!
- L.M. Montgomery, Anne of the Island.

A Note from the Library Director, Chris Johnson
It is hard to believe that summer is already here! It feels like we were just toasting the start of 2022, yet here we are turning the A/C back on to beat the early heat. Things are really heating up at the library as we prepare to kick-off our annual summer reading program for Children & Teens. This year's theme is Read Beyond the Beaten Path! Sign-up begins on June 18. Our popular Adult summer reading program begins on July 5.

Also launching in June is the 20th Annual One Book, One Region community reading event. The photo on the left shows Jill Adams, our Head of Adult Services, me, and Laura Erickson, our Head of Technical & Circulation Services all holding books related to this year's selection. Look below for details on the kick-off event.

June is also Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month. On June 28, we welcome Kris Sortwell, the Eastern CT Regional Director of the Alzheimer's Association for a presentation on Healthy Living for Your Brain & Body

I hope that you and your family can attend some of our educational and fun events this month. As always, I would love to hear your feedback on our programs & services. Please stop in next time you are at the library, or send me an email.
