DC DMV Hosts "Lives Shatter on Impact" Testimonial Wall

On April 29 and 30, 2022, DC DMV, in partnership with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), hosted the "Lives Shatter on Impact" Testimonial Wall at the Benning Ridge Service Center to educate the public about pedestrian and bicycle safety. The Testimonial Wall, part of the Street Smart regional traffic safety campaign, includes video and written testimonials from local residents affected by a serious or deadly crash.

DC DMV also hosted the Testimonial Wall at the Southwest Service Center in November 2021 during Street Smart's fall safety campaign. The Testimonial Wall has visited several other locations in the District, including Union Station, DC USA Shopping Center, and the Rhode Island and Anacostia Metro Stations.

On Wednesday, May 4, representatives from DC DMV's Correspondence Team participated in the 2022 Senior Spa Day, hosted by the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the DC Department of Aging & Community Living (DACL). The event was held at the Fort Stanton Recreation Center in Ward 8 where local seniors were treated to several free services, including haircuts, manicures and hair styling. Team DMV provided attendees with great giveaways and answered all agency related questions.

Holiday Closure Update

In recognition of Memorial Day, all DC DMV locations will be closed Saturday, May 28 and Monday, May 30. Regular business hours will resume Tuesday, May 31. Many of DC DMV's services will remain available online or via the agency's free mobile app.
