Dr. Ruiz Announces Senate Veteran Tom Nagle as New Chief of Staff

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) welcomed Tom Nagle to his Washington, D.C. office to serve as Chief of Staff. Nagle has more than 25 years of legislative and political experience, including his 12 years as Chief of Staff to former U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-NM).  

“Tom will be a tremendous addition to my office, leading my team as Chief of Staff to deliver for the families we serve. His years of legislative experience at the federal, state, and local level will go a long way in advancing policies that will make a positive difference in people’s lives,” said Dr. Ruiz. 

“I am excited to join the outstanding team that Dr. Ruiz has assembled. I look forward to working alongside the Congressman serving the constituents of the 36th District,” said Tom Nagle. “I am honored to assume this role for such a strong public servant and Congressional leader.”  

Most recently, Nagle served as Special Assistant for Federal Affairs for New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, advising the Governor’s Cabinet on its advocacy before Congress and the Biden Administration. He also brings with him extensive experience in government affairs.
