(PHOENIX, Ariz.) Starting October 26, Ronin Theatre Company presents the Arizona premiere of Mickey Fisher’s DRACULA IN TOMBSTONE at the Irish Cultural Center Halla Mór (Great Hall).

“This western dark comedy is ideal for All Hallow’s Eve,” said Ronin artistic director and DRACULA fight choreographer Keath Hall. “And where better to celebrate the Celtic pagan festival of Samhain (‘sah-win’) than at the Castle on Central?” – a landmark nickname for the Center.

Directed by Van Rockwell (SHE KILLS MONSTERS, EXIT LAUGHING, more), this ‘what-if’ scenario blends the legend of Wyatt Earp with the fiction of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Set in 1882, soon after the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, playwright Mickey Fisher spins a story that would have taken place before the famous Dubliner Stoker published his most famous novel about the Transylvanian Count.

Will Wadsworth stars as Wyatt Earp and Paul Gortarez as Dracula. Wadsworth has played a variety of stage roles from Gaston in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST to Snoopy in YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, and Gortarez is no stranger to westerns having played the lead in AXE-MEN OF COLORADO and an extra in the independent film BADLAND DOVES.

The rest of the colorful cast features Chandler Aguirre (Tom), Clifford Alfrey (Frank), Eric Darling-Bond (Edwin), Kate Haas (Josey), Malcolm Hooper (Jim), Andrea Hough (Kate), Sophie Markham (Mary) and Narvel Willie (Sani). The crew includes dramaturg Ric Alpers, costume director Amy Pickard, technical director Nicole Thompson and production manager Kate Weir.

Tickets to DRACULA IN TOMBSTONE are available to order now at azirish.org/ronin-theatre. The two-act, live/dead-action play runs October 26 through 31 with two matinees and six evening performances.

The last show of Ronin’s 2023 Season is William Shakespeare’s TWELFTH NIGHT, also at the Irish Cultural Center in Phoenix. Tickets will be announced on ronintheatre.com and Facebook.com/ronintheatreco.
