Emily Williston Memorial Library Newsletter - August 2022

Schools and Libraries

August 2, 2022

From: Emily Williston Memorial Library

From the Director:

Hello from your local cooling center and the center of all the action!

No, seriously, our Summer Reading Program is rocking, and there are fun activities and raffles to enter every day here, for all ages. This whirlwind ends on August 8, so make sure you stop by or put in your raffle tickets online. Don't miss our August 3rd lawn concert with Crimson Canary, or our finisher celebration with Crooked Stick Pops!

Also, a reminder: MA statewide primaries are September 6th, and the deadline to register to vote, update your registration, or change your party affiliation is August 27. This is also the date that Early Voting begins, and the Vote By Mail deadline is August 29. We'll be holding Voter Registration clinics here at the library to assist with registration, voter status checks, and any candidate research needed. If you are eligible, we encourage you to exercise your rights and vote!

Due to the continued circulation of SARS-CoV-2 in our area, we continue to require masking in the children's area and at all indoor programs (and offering outdoor alternatives), because that allows us to provide our entire community with a vibrant and full library experience.

For our full roster of August activities, keep reading, and check out our Calendar. We'll see you soon at the Library!
