Exhibition: Urban Canvas - Exploring Muralism in Wichita at Ulrich Museum of Art

Arts and Entertainment

May 25, 2024

From: Ulrich Museum of Art

Urban Canvas celebrates the vibrant and diverse public murals that adorn our city’s walls. The exhibit showcases the work of regional, national, and international artists who transform Wichita’s landscape into a colorful and dynamic canvas.

The exhibition also highlights the role that public murals can play in shaping the identity of a city and fostering a sense of community. Through interviews with artists and community members, we hope to provide a deeper understanding of the impact these murals have on the people who live and work in Wichita.

Urban Canvas | Exploring Muralism in Wichita is a celebration of creativity and a testament to the power of public art to transform and inspire. Whether you are a native Wichitan or a first-time visitor, this exhibit aims to entice appreciation of the beauty and vitality of urban art.

Our Spring exhibitions are made possible by the generosity of Ulrich50 donors, for which the Ulrich is very grateful. We also receive support from the City of Wichita, Wichita State University, and our Ulrich Friends with Benefits members.
