Fairfax 50+ Employment Expo - If you are 50+ and looking for a job or a career change, don’t miss this opportunity to meet dozens of job recruiters! Admission and parking are free and no registration is necessary – just drop by! The event takes place Friday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA.
The event offers seminars on changing careers, online job searching, continuing education, starting your own business, job training, resume critiquing and job interviewing. At noon, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova and David Gasme, Jewish Council for the Aging, will welcome participants. Following this, Joyce A. Russell, vice dean of the University of Maryland’s School of Business and contributor to the Washington Post’s Capital Business, will discuss the importance of job coaching. The event is sponsored by the Jewish Council on the Aging, Fairfax County and community partners.
