D1 Training, a leading fitness concept utilizing the five core tenets of athletic-based training, is now open and successfully operating its new location in Oswego, located at 1670 Douglas Rd. The group fitness facility employs a sports-science backed training regimen led by certified trainers to help people of all ages and abilities achieve their sport and fitness goals.

With more than 60 years of combined business experience, Randy and Ryan Vest, the local owners of D1 Training in Oswego, have dedicated their new fitness space to help locals of all ages and fitness levels participate in science-based athletic training. Fulfilling this promise, D1 Training in Oswego has partnered with local Autism awareness organizations, offering specialized classes that help residents with special needs set and achieve their fitness goals. By introducing D1 Training to Oswego, Randy and Ryan will continue employing their time, resources and talents to make a difference in their community. The duo has joined an impressive roster of existing D1 franchisees and owners, including professional athletes such as Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, Tim Tebow and Michael Oher.

The Vests’ journey into fitness franchising is a full circle moment, combing their extensive backgrounds in sports with their respective business expertise. Both Ryan and Randy developed a lifelong passion for athletics, as Randy and Ryan were both successful college baseball players and pursued coaching following their athletic careers for a combined 40 years. Randy ventured into the world of business working for McDonalds in a variety of leadership roles for over 40 years, while Ryan pursued a career in financial consulting. Recognizing their similar interests returning to work in athletics, the father-son duo began searching for franchise opportunities that intersected with their passion for athletics. Their goal is to continue to improving athletics in the Oswego community while returning to their role as a mentor and coach to those they serve.

“As former athletes ourselves, we believe D1's proven fitness model can truly transform lives and want to use our location for a larger purpose,” expressed Ryan Vest. "We are now dedicated to increasing the accessibility of top-notch athletic training for everyone in Oswego and beyond. We’re excited to be making a positive impact through our current class offerings for those with Autism; just one way we hope to make a difference and emphasize that D1 Training in Oswego is a space where everyone can thrive."

D1 Training offers four age-based programs including Rookie (ages 7-11), Developmental (ages 12-14), Prep (ages 15-18) and D1 Adult.
