HOLIDAY CLOSINGS   
The library will be closed Sunday, December 24 and Monday, December 25 for the Christmas holiday. All library facilities will also be closed on January 1. Have a safe, happy holiday.

Kindness Rock Garden Painting

South End Branch

Join the Stamford Kindness Project by decorating rocks for the South End Branch rock garden. All ages.

Kwanzaa Community Gatherings

29th Kwanzaa Community Celebration
Wednesday, December 27 from 2 to 3 p.m.
Stamford Government Center
Community celebration in observance of the second Kwanzaa principle of Kujichagulia (self-determination) featuring Mayor Caroline Simmons. Activities include performances by Henry Jones and Infinite Roots, vocalist Ayanna Doreste, guest speaker Dr. Tichianaa Armah, a poetry reading and light snacks. All ages.

Kwanzaa Celebration
Saturday, December 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
South End Branch
A celebration of Kwanzaa highlighting the fifth principle of Nia (purpose). Learn about this cultural holiday, join in the lighting of candles, make a Kwanzaa craft, enjoy African drumming by Baba James Moss and a healthy cooking and food demonstration by Chef Giovanni Green. All ages.
Co-sponsored by Domus.

The following program is presented in partnership with the Network of the National Library of Medicine.

Community Mindfulness Project: Meditation
Tuesday, December 26 from 12 to 1 p.m.
Main Library, DiMattia Building
Dudley N. Williams, Jr. Auditorium
A brief discussion about meditation practice followed by a guided meditation with a chance to share and reflect. Please arrive five minutes early.

Access Health CT Insurance Enrollment
Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Second Floor Study Room
Representatives from Access Health CT will be at the library weekdays through January 12 to enroll members in the health insurance marketplace. Enroll by December 15 for coverage that begins January 1. No appointment is necessary.

Art at the Ferguson
Connecting Nature and People
Main Library, DiMattia Building
Dudley N. Williams, Jr. Auditorium
The juried show, presented in partnership with the Stamford Art Association, features works by local and regional artists and explores the bonds that exist between nature and people. The exhibition continues through January 2024.

The library has a well-curated book discussion collection, with multiple copies of each book. We can also get books for you if we don't have the title and share resources about how to have a successful book discussion. And of course, our readers advisory services can help you find your group's next great read.

Digital Navigators operate by appointment only. Please call 203-351-8221 to set up an appointment.

Notary Services at the Library

Notary services are available on a walk-in basis at the Main Library Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays by appointment only. The notary desk at the Main Library is located in the lower level.

Notary services are available at the Harry Bennett and Weed Memorial & Hollander branches by appointment only. Call 203 351-8290.

Entrepreneurs-in Residence
