Calling all gardeners with cabin fever — time for a road trip. The University of Illinois Extension McHenry County Master Gardeners will host a bus trip to the PBS Wisconsin Garden & Landscape Expo on Saturday, Feb. 8, in Madison, Wisconsin. This is the perfect opportunity to see beautiful garden displays, catch a seminar or class, buy gardening tools and seeds, and get a glimpse of spring.

A chartered bus will transport attendees to the PBS Wisconsin Garden & Landscape Expo at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. This garden expo is similar to the Chicago Flower & Garden Show, but it will feature more vendors and educational opportunities. Guests will attend seminars and demonstrations, see garden displays, meet vendors, talk to University of Wisconsin Extension experts and gain dozens of landscaping ideas.

The bus will depart from the U of I Extension McHenry County office at 1102 McConnell Road, Woodstock, promptly at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 8. It will arrive at the show in Madison at about 10:30 a.m. and will return to the extension office at about 5:30 p.m.

The cost is $35 per person and covers the round-trip bus ride, the show entrance fee, and water and snacks during the ride. The trip is nonrefundable (unless the trip is canceled due to lack of participation). The registration deadline is Jan. 22. Register early; seating is limited.
