A holiday tradition goes to a new dimension – literally – as an exciting version of the beloved film “THE POLAR EXPRESS™” steams off the screen of our 4D Theater!

This cinematic experience, a 13-minute version of the 2004 film based on the Caldecott Medal-winning children book, as sensory special effects, such as snow, wind, scents of hot cocoa and more, spill off the screen into the audience.

"Shark-Diving Santa" Returns this Weekend!

Throughout the holiday season (toy-building permitting), Santa will enter the Aquarium’s 110,000-gallon “Ocean Beyond the Sound” exhibit, which is home to several 8 to 9 foot sharks. He regularly swims up to the exhibit window and poses with children – so bring a camera to snap a unique holiday photo!

See Santa Claus join our dive team most Saturdays and Sundays in December at approximately 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

Aquarium members are invited to join us for breakfast with Santa Claus on Saturday, December 17 from 8 to 10 a.m.!

During a delicious breakfast, Santa will be stopping by each table to meet and take photos with guests! Afterward, you'll enjoy a showing of "The Polar Express 4D Experience!" Marvel at the fascinating forms and adaptations of animals from ocean reefs and freshwater streams in this special exhibit that showcases live creatures with their representations in art!

In addition to live nudibranchs and other mollusks, this exhibit features nudibranchs depicted in onyx and marble sculptures by Gar Waterman of New Haven, as well as photography from all around the world.
