First Ever YogaSix in Long Island Coming Soon

Health and Fitness

November 2, 2023

YogaSix, a modern fitness boutique offering a full sensory yoga experience accessible to all, is opening its first Long Island location at 1481 Old Country Rd., Plainview, N.Y. The new studio is set to celebrate its grand opening on November 11 and introduce people of all ages and abilities to the various health and wellness benefits of the brand's unique take on yoga.

YogaSix Plainview is owned by Jessica Jackson, an active member of the local community. Jessica is a PTA mom of 3 and local Girl Scout troop leader. Her Husband, Andrew Jackson is a business owner himself, running a successful IT company for many years, and is a proud supporter of YogaSix. As a busy stay-at-home mom, YogaSix is Jessica’s chance to invest in herself while continuing her involvement in the community.

“I was always interested in getting into yoga but I was intimidated by the options available,” said Jessica. “When I discovered YogaSix, I absolutely loved how inviting and welcoming it was to everyone, even newcomers like myself.”

Jessica is looking forward to allowing her community the chance to experience the benefits of yoga in such an inclusive environment. The Plainview location will be the first of four YogaSix locations in Long Island. Following its grand opening in November, she has plans to open additional studios in Roslyn, Garden City, and Merrick.

The grand opening celebration will take place on November 11 from 1pm to 3pm. The studio will be offering prizes, giveaways and refreshments as well as 10% off all memberships and additional in-studio specials!

Various yoga classes are offered at YogaSix to encompass everything from deep stretching to stress relief to high-intensity training. Offering six core formats – Y6 101, Y6 Restore, Y6 Slow Flow, Y6 Hot, Y6 Power, and Y6 Sculpt & Flow – each class caters to every fitness level and strengthens the mind-body connection.

The new studio is making an impression with its unique version of yoga. Particularly notable is the use of modern language instead of Sanskrit to describe its practice, as the traditional language can be intimidating to newcomers. The studio provides class options for everybody, from beginners to more advanced students. YogaSix wants to introduce yoga as a modern practice that allows all levels to feel welcome. New students are always greeted by a wellness advisor when they enter the studio to educate and empower them before they engage in a YogaSix experience.
