Announcing the 2022-2023 Season ~ Romantic Heroes

Toccata for Percussion is a melodic, textural, and colorful composition that harkens to the root of the toccare, or "to touch." Chávez's piece displays the individual touch an artist can put on any given performance.

Stravinsky's Firebird is an inventive, virtuosic use of orchestral colors and abrupt, repetitive rhythms that take audiences on an unprecedented sound journey.

Our closing symphony of the season has a sensational program featuring the FSO percussion section and Stravinsky’s beloved Firebird Suite. So arrive early and hear Gregg Powell, FSO Principal Bass, share a lively introduction to the 22-23 Season, Romantic Heroes!

We’re also proud to be presenting the Festival of Dance, Flint Youth Ballet’s culminating performance of its 35th Season. It is a remarkable milestone for the exceptional talent nurtured in Flint and graced the stage — showcasing both challenging choreography and high-quality productions.
