Message from the Executive Office
The opening of the Flint Symphony Orchestra season is always highly anticipated and we are especially excited to welcome Dominic Cheli, as guest artist, an extraordinary young musician with a brilliant career ahead of him. He'll be performing Rachmaninoff’s rapturous Piano Concerto No. 3 and you do not want to miss it.

We are delighted to have a full season of pre-concert talks scheduled and renamed “Inside the Music.” They’re always free and start one hour prior to the concert. Our principal bass, Gregg Powell, kicks off the season with his talk titled “Celebrating the Romantic 19th Century.” It’s going to be a dazzling evening and I hope you’ll join us.

Heart-stirring Soul and R&B, a documentary film presenting challenging social issues, a faculty concert featuring one of our talented teaching artists, and the electrifying stage icons, the Isley Brothers— it’s all on our stages in the month ahead. There is truly something for everyone!

We hope to see you soon, have a beautiful and safe weekend.

Sincerely,

Rodney Lontine
President and CEO
