Message from the Executive Office

It is an absolute joy to work in the same building that houses the Flint School of the Performing Arts. The classrooms are always filled with beautiful sounds, the lobby with waiting parents, and the hallways with rows of shoes, left there by students in their dance classes. It’s a beautiful bustle, and we are grateful for the excellent instruction given to these students.

This is why tonight, the opening of the FSPA Faculty Concert Series, is such an important date on our calendar. Dr. Wendy Kao, violin and viola instructor, will perform a free concert featuring works by Johannes Brahms, Clara Schumann, Eric Coates and Zoltán Kodály, as well as a recently discovered piece by Dmitri Shostakovich. These wonderful faculty concerts continue through May, and I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
