2024 is soon approaching, and with it, exciting new programs at FIAF! CinéSalon, our weekly cinema series, kicks off the new year on January 9 with Being Birkin, a five-film homage to the great Jane Birkin, curated by her daughters, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon; and from January 23–28, Animation First is back for an extended seventh edition of the popular festival dedicated to showcasing the best of French and Francophone animation. February brings two incredible theater programs, with Stéphanie St. Clair, Queen of Harlem, on February 7, profiling the iconic woman who was a driving force behind the 1920s Harlem underground and the Black activism movement; and on February 19, Molière's The Imaginary Invalid, the classic comedy about a hypochondriac who falls victim to people preying on his anxieties. On March 13 is the U.S. premiere of La Douleur, a riveting play based on Marguerite Duras' 1985 text The War: A Memoir. Don’t miss these opportunities to join us for incredible francophone programming at FIAF!
