Coloring Contest

Embrace the season by coloring a winter-themed coloring page! 

All participants entered in the contest will be put into a drawing for a chance to win a sled! Coloring pages will be available for pick-up at the Rustad Recreation Center, West Fargo Department, and West Fargo Police Department during business hours beginning Friday, January 12. On that date, a link will also be posted on wfparks.org if you want to print your stuff at home! 

Coloring Contest Rules: Entries for the West Fargo Park District's 2024 Frostival Coloring Contest will be accepted at the Rustad Recreation Center (601   26thAve E, West Fargo) during business hours from Monday, January 15 - to Monday, January 22. This contest is valid for children ages 12 and under. Only one entry per child will be accepted. Five winners will be picked at random to win prizes! Winners of the coloring contest will be contacted after the contest and announced on the West Fargo Park District's Facebook by January 29. Please include the child's first name and last initial when uploading a picture.

Snowman Competition

West Fargo Parks and Recreation is holding a contest to find the best snowmanbuilders in the area! Let your imagination run wild (in a family-friendly way), and build a snowman in your yard, at your place of business, or at any West FargoPark between January 12 and January 22, 2024. 

Individuals, families, groups, and businesses are all encouraged to participate! You may use accessories to add to your snowman and are encouraged to add creative touches to make your snowman one of a kind! After you are done building your masterpiece, snap a picture of your creation with those who built it, give it a name, give us your name and phone number, and send it all to [email protected].

All entries must be submitted by January 22, 2024. Winners and Prizes will be announced the following week. Winners will be contacted and posted on our Facebook page. There will be one winner in each of the following categories. Each submission can only win in one category:

- Funniest 

- Most Creative

- Best Theme 

- Best Use of Accessories 

By submitting an entry, contestants grant West Fargo Parks and Recreation permission and authority to use said pictures in any reasonable advertising or promotional activities.

Silver Snowflake Search

Hunt for the Frostival Silver Snowflakes in West Fargo to win one of five extravagant prize packages! This annual scavenger hunt is the perfect outdoor activity for the whole family and allows you to see all the fantastic West Fargo parks! All five Silver Snowflakes are hidden in public locations, above ground, and within West Fargo. The first clue will be posted on January 12, and additional clues will be posted daily until January 22 or until all the snowflakes are found. Clues will be published daily at the Rustad Recreation Center information center and on the wfparks.org website by 9:30 A.m. All winners will be featured on the West Fargo Park District social media pages and may not be anonymous.

This annual tournament celebrates the sport in its raw, unadulterated glory. With multiple rinks and a cozy warming tent, it's an experience designed for those who relish winter's embrace. We offer three distinct divisions to cater to various skill levels: Novice, Silver, and Gold. Participants chose one division, each with identical rules, and played in the same stunning venue,   Lindenwood Park. Sleigh Rides

Enjoy a sleigh ride through the beautiful and scenic M.B. Johnson Park on Saturdays, February 3 and 17, 1-4 pm. Check in and enjoy Frostival treats and refreshments in the small shelter. Reservations are advised and can be made by calling 218.299.5340 after December 1. Tickets may be available on-site if space allows. Admission is $5/person (children two and under are free).

Silent Disco Skate Party

Are you ready to put on your skates and dance the night away to your favorite tunes? Join us at Broadway Square on Saturday, February 24th, from 6-8 pm for our Silent Disco Skate Party! Grab a pair of headphones and choose your favorite channel to listen to while you skate and dance under the stars. Our DJ will be spinning the latest hits so you can show off your moves and have a blast with your friends.    This event is open to skaters of all levels, so whether you're a beginner or a pro, join us for a night of fun and excitement. Don't have skates? No problem! We'll have a limited number of skates available to rent at the event. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase so you can refuel and keep the party going all night long.
