City of Glendale Critical Need Blood Drive

Make a lifesaving difference at the City of Glendale Critical Need Blood Drive, sponsored by the Glendale Public Library. Donation hours are from 10 AM-2 PM on the following dates:

Glendale 100: Wyatt Earp - A Life on the Frontier

Step back in time with Wyatt Earp, a descendant of the famous lawman, as he takes the stage to portray his ancestor at the Main Library on Saturday, July 22, from 2-3:30 PM. Transport yourself to 1928 and listen as an elderly Wyatt reluctantly shares his captivating life story with a fictional reporter. Don't miss this performance that brings the past to life! 

CAFE Flutes

Enjoy lively classical melodies, jazz standards, favorite pop tunes, and beloved oldies, performed by the seven members of the Central Arizona Flute Ensemble at the Main Library on Sunday, July 23, from 2-4 PM. Discover the world of flute music and the diverse range of flute instruments, including the impressive 10-foot long contrabass flute!

Glendale 100: Arizona's Astronomy Discoveries and Sky Viewing

Learn about the fascinating history of astronomy discoveries in Arizona at the Main Library on Monday, July 24, from 6:30-9 PM.

Join astronomer Kevin Legore in the Auditorium from 6:30-7:30 PM, as he shares insights into remarkable astronomy breakthroughs in Arizona. Afterward, head to the library's north lawn and explore the Arizona sky through a variety of telescopes.

Birds of Phoenix & Maricopa County 

Join Dr. Jason Struthers of the Maricopa Audubon Society on Saturday, July 29, from 2-3:30 PM at the Heroes Regional Park Library to explore the numerous species of birds that inhabit Phoenix and Maricopa County. Learn how to identify bird species by appearance and sound. Leave amazed by the diversity of birds in the region. Attendees will be entered into a drawing for raffle prizes!

Arizona Legends of the Old West

Experience an afternoon of Arizona history on Saturday, July 29, from 3-4 PM at the Velma Teague Library. Historian Jarrod Riddle of Spirit of Arizona Tours will be speaking about the exciting legends that make our state unique!
