Celebrate Our Centennial with Crafts for Adults!

Get hands-on with one of our Glendale 100 decade-inspired crafting programs for adults this October!

On Monday, October 3, from 6-7:30 PM at the Main Library, express your own unique style as you embellish this Wooden Earring Craft, inspired by the flower-power fashion of the 1960s.

Beginning in the 21st century, crafters and artists used pop tabs on cans to create purses, jewelry, and even a suit of armor and a prom dress! Make your own art with our fun Pop Tab Bracelet design on Saturday, October 8, from 2-3 PM at the Heroes Regional Park Library.

Come celebrate the 1940s with Recipes and Victory Gardens on Tuesday, October 11, from 2-4 PM at the Foothills Library. Create a recipe box, share your favorite recipes, and take home seeds to start your very own victory garden, generously provided by the Water Conservation Department.

Finally, in addition to our Glendale 100 crafts, you can get ready for autumn with Rustic Fall Décor: Watercolor Leaf Art at the Velma Teague Library on Saturday, October 15, from 1-3 PM. We'll provide the materials to create a set of four framed artworks that are perfect for the season.
