Gov. Polis Issues Proclamations to Declare the Vote for Voter-Approved Ballot Measures

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis issued eight proclamations, declaring the vote for voter-approved ballot measures passed in the 2022 election. The Governor has the constitutional responsibility to declare the vote after an election, and the ballot measures take effect upon this declaration.

“Coloradans voted last November and participated in our democracy. Officially validating the results of the citizen and referred initiatives is the next formal step in our work to follow the will of the voters and implement these voter-approved measures,” said Gov. Polis.
