What: 

Gov. Spencer Cox and Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson will release their proposed FY24 budget on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022. Ahead of the general announcement, Gov. Cox will share education and tax cut announcements on Thursday, Dec. 8. Media are invited to attend and participate in a short media availability. Later that afternoon, the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget will host an embargoed virtual budget briefing for reporters. Reporters who attend will receive an embargoed copy of the budget and Executive Director Sophia DiCaro, State Economist Nate Talley, and others will be available to answer technical questions. On Friday, Dec. 9, Gov. Cox and Lt. Gov. Henderson will host a general FY 24 budget press conference. Media are invited to attend and participate in a Q&A after the budget is released.
