Governor Gianforte Launches 12 Days of Giving at Butte Rescue Mission

BUTTE, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte today kicked off his second annual 12 Days of Giving at Butte Rescue Mission, serving lunch to Montanans struggling with food insecurity.

“Giving back and serving our neighbors is part of who we are as Montanans, and in that spirit, I’m excited to bring back our 12 Days of Giving this year,” Governor Gianforte said. “Over 12 days, we’ll highlight a dozen charities serving our fellow Montanans, and Butte Rescue Mission is the perfect place to kick things off.”

Since 1976, Butte Rescue Mission has served Butte and Southwest Montana, feeding, clothing, and providing shelter to Montanans in need.

In 2021, Butte Rescue Mission served 69,303 meals to Montanans, and hosted over 600 guests.

“We are honored to serve anyone in need within our community and Montana. Our state is so generous and willing to help each other. We're excited to have Governor Gianforte here to serve lunch and be the kick-off location to the 12 Days of Giving,” executive director Brayton Erickson said.
