Governor Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration
Energy Workforce Advisory Council

John Pady will serve as a Member of the Energy Workforce Advisory Council.* Pady has over 20 years of project and construction management experience and currently serves as the Chief Expansion Officer at the Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County (CEDA). There he coordinates and advises on critical workforce and contractor support priorities. Prior to joining CEDA, Pady served as the Director of Workforce and Corporate Partnerships at the Albany Park Community Center where he developed strategic partnerships and strengthened existing relationships. Pady also sits on the Board of Directors for the Building Performance Association, the GreenHomes Institute, and the National Community Action Partnership Energy Task Force.

State Employees' Retirement System Board of Trustees

Danny Silverthorn will continue to serve as a Member of the State Employees' Retirement System Board of Trustees.* Silverthorn has 45 years of union carpentry experience, twenty of which were spent as the Executive Director of the West Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council. While in this role, he represented all 15 Union Building Trades in 13 counties in west central Illinois. Silverthorn has also been an active member in his community. Over the years, he has served on the Tri-County Construction Labor Management Council, the Peoria Civic Center, and the Heart of Illinois United Way.
