Governor Reynolds Announces Special Guest Wesley Hunt for Harvest Festival

DES MOINES - Governor Kim Reynolds has announced former U.S. Army Officer and Texas Congressional Candidate, Wesley Hunt as her special guest speaker for her 5th Annual Harvest Festival. The event will be held on Saturday, October 1st.
 
“I’m excited to welcome Wesley Hunt back to the great state of Iowa,” said Gov. Reynolds. “Wesley loves this country and he has been on the frontlines of defending freedom during his time in the U.S. Army. Now he’s running for Congress and fighting to build and grow the future of our nation's conservative movement. 
 
“Iowa is a special place filled with incredible people,” said Wesley Hunt. “It will be great to come back in support of Iowa’s incredible governor, Kim Reynolds. Under her leadership, Iowa has defended freedom, taxpayers, and stood alongside parents. It’s truly the Texas of the Midwest.” 
 
Wesley Hunt was born and raised in Houston, TX. He is a graduate from West Point who spent eight years in the Army as an Aviation Branch Officer and AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter pilot, flying including one combat deployment to Iraq, and two deployments to Saudi Arabia where he served as a Diplomatic Liaison Officer. Wesley’s wife, Emily is from Maquoketa, Iowa. 
 
Kim Reynolds’ 5th Annual Harvest Festival will feature many activities such as live music, pumpkin decorating, balloon animals, and BBQ. Here are additional details for the Governor’s 5th Annual Harvest Festival:
