Join us for a bird watching hike as we look for residents, neotropical migrants headed south, and winter visitors coming in from the north.

8:00am- 12:00pm: Bird with the Ohio Young Birders Club

Learn to find and ID birds! Will you spot the rarest species? Join our observation circle (ongoing) or a bird walk (on the half hour).

10:00am-5:00pm: Native Plant Sale

More than 50 species of native plants are available to turn your yard into an eco-friendly garden for birds, pollinators, and wildlife.

10:00am-12:00pm: Water Sampling Like a Pro

Test like Pros to see how healthly Little Miami River is and learn about Greenacres Saturday Stream Snapshot Citizen Monitoring Program.

Discover the importance of pollinators in our world and what you can do to help them.

Bring the family to see and touch some of Ohio's 450 million year-old fossils, and meet a special guest from the past.

10:00am-3:00pm: Touch Station & Native Animal Encounter

Bring your family to interact with some of Ohio's native animals.  Students and alumni of CMH will have a variety of native Ohio species to touch, hold and learn about, such as tadpoles, toads, frogs, various insects and reptiles!

Join us for yoga geared for people of all ages and abilities.  The class will flow through nature-inspired yoga poses that help connect us to the natural world.  10 mats provided or bring your own!

10:00am-3:00pm: Seed Planting

Calling all gardeners!  Native seeds will be available at our planting station.  Enjoy this take home gift of nature and observe the stages of plant growth in your own home for many weeks to come!

11:00am-12:00pm: Nature Hike & Scavenger Hunt

Bring binoculars and your enthusiasm as we hike over a pond, though woods, and by an early succession meadow.

12:00pm-3:00pm: Campfire and Marshmallow Roast

Please sit by our crackling campfire and enjoy some marshmallows, regular or vegan.  Please feel free to bring your own hotdogs, buns and fix ins and stay for the whole day!

12:00pm-1:00pm: Penguin Encounter

The Newport Aquarium will have African Blackfoot Penguins for you to touch and learn about. This is an encounter that you will never forget.

12:00pm-3:00pm: Pond Exploration

Come discover what life lurks beneath the surface of a pond. See turtles, frogs, and salamanders.

12:30pm-2:30pm: Butterfiles, Moths, Wooly Bears, Oh My!

Join us for an informative and interesting Moth & Butterfly Chat.
