WASHINGTON – Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) released the following statement on the Chinese spy balloon.

"It is deeply concerning that the Chinese Communist Party felt emboldened to send a spy balloon into the United States, a clear and brazen violation of our sovereignty. Even more unbelievable is that the Biden Administration's response is to simply let this spy balloon float over the U.S. for a few more days. My office is in contact with the Department of Defense and we will be pressing for more information on the balloon's track. We must respond swiftly to not only this immediate threat, but the wide variety of threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party." – Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
